The History of Science Carnival The Giant’s Shoulders is due to go up on December 15th at Rigorous Trivialities! Also, skullsinthestars is hosting a banner contest for both historically and artistically minded people to help design the banner at the Giant’s Soulder’s site. I am not at all artistic in this area, but I want to see something pretty happen there.
And now I’m off to celebrate another grad student in my dept. getting his PhD! I’m very happy for him, but this is the third guy from our class…and there are only 7 of us…THEY’RE ALL GETTING OUT BEFORE ME!!! AUGH!!! *end panic* Time for cake.

Hey, my grad class had 7 people… and one finished 3 years before me! (Four of them dropped out.) I think there are worse things that can happen than finishing after the rest of your class (e.g. finishing in the midst of an economic crisis).
